3 days Marrakech to Fes desert tour
Day 1: High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Gorges
Leave Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains.
Stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the narrow streets and admire the traditional adobe architecture.
Continue to Ouarzazate and visit the film studios, which serve decorations for numerous films.
Continue your journey to Skoura, known for its palm groves and kasbahs.
Finally, arrive at Dades Gorge, where you can walk along dramatic rock cliffs and spend the night in nearby accommodation.
Day 2: Dades Gorges – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast, set off from the Dades gorges and head towards Tinghir.
Explore the Todra Gorge, an impressive canyon with rock walls of more than 300 meters high.
Continue your route towards Erfoud, continue towards these fossils and their marble industries.
Finally, you will arrive in Merzouga, where you will enjoy a walk in two camels in the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend the night in a Berber camp in the desert environment.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes
Enjoy the sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga before returning to the village.
Stop at Rissani, a former caravan town and cradle of the Alaouite dynasty.
Drive through the Ziz valley, with its palm trees and deserted landscapes.
Continue your route towards Midelt, a town at the foot of the Middle Atlas Mountains.
Go through Azrou and discover the cedar forest and its magot monkeys.
End your day passing by Ifrane, nicknamed the “little Switzerland” of Morocco, before arriving in Fes, your final destination.
